Just Checking

I'm just checking that Mum's not watching me

partly because I want to take a stroll and also

 so Mum won't realise where I am going to wander.

I'll just hang round until it's all quiet.

I think it's all clear so here goes

YES !!

Now I can watch the birdies on the lawn next door

without her watching me watching them!!

Sunshiny Day

I rushed out early yesterday morning

to stroll and enjoy the sunshine.

I shouted to the birdies

and invited them to join me

and promised them that Mum would feed them.

Apparently they didn't feel hungry!

The Rustle

I can hear rustling!

What can it be?

I can't see any birdies

and there's no interesting smell

so I'll sit and wait patiently

in case I'm in luck!

Fly Away

Go away birdies

your tippy tappy feet

are keeping ME awake!!

Looking Up

I can hear the birdies

tippy tapping on the roof

I ought to go and chase them off

but I'd rather have a nap.

What a Cheek!

You may be wondering why we are sitting here looking up

and think you may not be able to hear that tapping noise.

Mum says it's birdies dropping their left over breakfasts 

onto our roof.

The Tap Dance

There were birdies on this roof a few minutes ago

and they were doing a tap dance!

thank goodness they've flown away

I couldn't sleep.

Roof Patrol

Lucy shouts

"Mum can you hear me?"

Mum tells her she can see and hear her.

Lucy looks back to where the birdies live in the tree

and Hannah tells her it is all quiet there so she goes

further along the roof for another look

where she thinks they may be hiding

but there's not even an old crow to chase and torment.

What's Up?

There are birdies walking on my roof

I can see their feet and hear them chirping



I hope that doesn't mean

that they will poop up there!

Thoughts on Thursday

I love being outside

in the sunshine

or inside

where the sunbeams come in the window

and I can watch the birdies through the glass.

The Birdies

it's very cold and windy out here

but our PR exercise is done and

we've wished the birdies a Happy New Year

but they declined our invitation to come inside and get warm.

Lucy's Tail Part II

Oh dear Lucy's started her bath early today and soon she'll be fighting with her tail again.


I'll try to hold it with my paw before it gets wild and she throws a tantrum cos it keeps escaping.

Oh good she's got sidetracked and is looking out the window at some birdies.

I'll catch some zzzzs before the battle of the tail starts again.

I Spy With My Little Eye

I am just watching the birdies in the garden next door to us.


I get quite a good view through the gap in the fence boards and through that little spy hole - I think Mum drilled it specially so I can put my eye against it for a secret close up view.

Mum why don't you put food out for the birdies like the lady next door?

Mum: I don't think they would want to eat at your restaurant Hannah.
