I'm Waiting

I'm waiting for Mum

to open the oven door

and tell me she's putting my chicken in to cook.

I'm trying to be patient

but I'm so hungry I could eat a horse!

The Rustle

I can hear rustling!

What can it be?

I can't see any birdies

and there's no interesting smell

so I'll sit and wait patiently

in case I'm in luck!
