I'm over here - NO not over there

OVER HERE!!

Wait a moment

I heard the breakfast call

and hurried towards home 

(pausing here and there for a quick sniff of course)

before getting on the garage roof

ready to jump onto the pillar and head for my bowl.

No Peace

I'm having a quiet 5 minutes and pondering

whether I might have a nap soon

when a noisy bird started jumping about

on our roof

keeping me wide awake.
