Looking Out the Window

.

I love to look out the window

and watch for the birds

flying about and hate it

when Lucy joins me there and spoils it

by looking up on the conservatory roof.

Mum says it's a birdie but I wasn't born yesterday

Just Looking Around

I'm just looking around

and the birds are singing loudly

to show their disapproval of me

and all I'm doing is taking in the view

from MY garage roof !

Early Morning

I was up and about early today as the birds

were singing their dawn chorus with gusto

I've checked all around and it seems

I'm the only local patrol cat today.

I'm sure I deserve

a well earned rest as

my early start is catching up with me!

Fence Patrol

It's very quiet and nothing interesting is happening

there are birds feeding over the fence

in the next door garden but the dog is outside!!

Oh well I might as well go home

before it starts to rain AGAIN!!!

Our 2nd Gotcha Day

.
It is 2 years today since Mum rescued us from the R.S.P.C.A where she had fallen in love with us
.
(actually we hypnotised her when we saw her cos we thought she looked a soft touch!!)
.

.
This is our very first picture
.

.
napping on our gizzy quilt.
.

Mum says Lucy looks a bit scared here
.

.
but Hannah was always
.

her relaxed self.
.
However, she wasn't excited by
.

.
our first snow - (rather chilly on the paws and the bum!!)
.
one year later
.
and you can see
.

.
that Lucy clearly wasn't either!
.

.
our best time is spent in the sunshine on top of the fence watching the neighbours,
.

.
sitting on top of the roof
.

.
or relaxing in a garden chair
.

.
taking the air
.

.
or watching birdies
.

.
and we love snuggling together
.
We are so happy to have met you all and to have made so many wonderful friends here .
.
Now that's enough slush Mum
.
Where are the nipitinis?
.
Drinks all round for our friends.

.
Unfortunately Lucy is still scared of her own shadow and has stopped eating again and Mum is so worried about her.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

.

.

They are annoying Hannah

.

.

she wanted a nap and they're keeping her wide awake.

Watch the Birdies

Lucy got very excited earlier this year when a nest was built in this tree.

There has been some baby birdies born in that nest and their parents have been fetching them food. They have now started to fly and keep landing on our conservatory roof before flying back to the tree. Hannah is getting very interested in their activities as you can see.

As we have a clear roof she can see them and they are taunting her by walking above her head.

In her excitement the elegant black cat sitting on the window sill has been knocked to the floor and if you biggify this next picture:

you can see her ear is chipped.
When I showed Hannah the damage I am sure she put her tongue out at me and said tough!!

Watching for Birdies

I'm going to be first today - Hannah always muscles in and takes top slot - but this is fighting talk - no more being miss nice girl.

Here I am sitting in the window watching for birds coming into the garden - it isn't a very big garden so we don't get too many bird visitors but I don't like to be rude and miss their visits (and the chance of a game of chase).

I am sitting here on the back of the chair watching too in the hope that I can have a laugh at Lucy's antics of trying to catch the birdies - it hasn't happened yet much to Mum's relief.

Can you believe our Mum is frightened of birdies - the wuss.
Mum here - I'm not frightened of birds but a don't like having to pick them up and if they flutter in my hands I freak out!!
