Getting Comfy

I just can't seem to get comfy

and am just tossing and turning

and wriggling about

Oh!!   Now that's better - and at last

I can feel a sleep coming on.

I just can't get comfy

and Mum's going to the shops

and says she'll help me when she gets back

but that's no good

and now I'm feeling quite cross

What's that Mum?   Oh, you're off  NOW

Yes I'm fine

Don't worry about ME

and I'm ready for a nap

but, of course, the flashy box

keeps making me close my eyes

and Mum keeps saying

"Just one more Lucy"

but that was ages ago

and she's still here.
