Fur Patrol

.

Lucy sat quite still and looked

all around the garden.

There's not much to see although apart from a squillion

leaves and puddles after yesterday's torrential rain

and strong winds.

She clambered on to the garage roof

and watched up and down our close.

All was quiet!

How boring she said (before coming down).

I should have stopped in bed.

We are lucky living on high ground many families

were flooded out of their homes and it could be

many months before they will be able to return.

  3. Sure glad all of you are high enough that the floods haven't come to visit you. Lucy, you are such a good snooperviser. Lucy, Tees needs a little love, he has a very small boo boo on his neck. But it isn't bad at all. Hope all of you have a great day with no rain.

  7. Yes Lucy, it is much to stay in bed with this awful weather. It is sunny at the moment but we have more severe weather warnings for tomorrow and nearly 100 flood alerts for our region. All our fields are under water and wherever there is a slope it is running like waterfalls. The pub at the bottom of our village has just had major refurbishment and only been open for 5 days. On Wednesday it was under 4 feet of water!

  8. Flooding is icky! Our basement floods every two or three years in the spring. The peeps get all upset which makes us all upset and then noisy cleaning things happen and that makes us even MORE upset. Icky. So glad you're on high ground. purrs

  10. We're glad you weren't impacted with flooding, and we're purring for your less fortunate neighbors. It sounds like a cozy nap in bed is a very good idea when the weather will not cooperate with your patrol!
