Lucy sat quite still and looked
all around the garden.
There's not much to see although apart from a squillion
leaves and puddles after yesterday's torrential rain
and strong winds.

She clambered on to the garage roof
and watched up and down our close.
All was quiet!
All was quiet!
I should have stopped in bed.
We are lucky living on high ground many families
were flooded out of their homes and it could be
many months before they will be able to return.

Yes Lucy, late Fall is not very exciting. It looks quite barren.Good for snoozing though :)

That flooding sounds like it was awful! I am purring for those affected and I am happy to know you and your family are safe!
ReplyDeleteSure glad all of you are high enough that the floods haven't come to visit you. Lucy, you are such a good snooperviser. Lucy, Tees needs a little love, he has a very small boo boo on his neck. But it isn't bad at all. Hope all of you have a great day with no rain.
ReplyDeleteI am sure glad the water didn't bother you and we will be purring for all those affected by the flooding.
ReplyDeleteIt was really bad yesterday wasnt it. At the moment today is fine but how long that will last is anyone's guess. Mum hopes it stays fine because yesterday was awful to work in.. Hugs GJ xx
ReplyDeleteSnoopervising!
ReplyDeleteWe are sorry to hear so many were flooded out of their homes. We're glad you all are safe...and we purr for those who were affected by the flooding.
ReplyDeleteYes Lucy, it is much to stay in bed with this awful weather. It is sunny at the moment but we have more severe weather warnings for tomorrow and nearly 100 flood alerts for our region. All our fields are under water and wherever there is a slope it is running like waterfalls. The pub at the bottom of our village has just had major refurbishment and only been open for 5 days. On Wednesday it was under 4 feet of water!
ReplyDeleteFlooding is icky! Our basement floods every two or three years in the spring. The peeps get all upset which makes us all upset and then noisy cleaning things happen and that makes us even MORE upset. Icky. So glad you're on high ground. purrs
ReplyDeleteWe are glad you are safe but sad that others were so badly affected! Mother Nature is really letting loose this year all over the world :(
ReplyDeleteHave a restful weekend Lucy (and Hannah too!) :)
the critters in the cottage xo
We're glad you weren't impacted with flooding, and we're purring for your less fortunate neighbors. It sounds like a cozy nap in bed is a very good idea when the weather will not cooperate with your patrol!

Not much going on here either sweet Lucy. Just falling leaves and the sun coming in and out. We are sorry to hear about the people getting flooded out and we hope they get their homes fixed up very soon. You all have a great weekend. Hugs and nose kisses
ReplyDeleteGoodness! We didn't realize there was such dirty weather over there! We will purr for everyone affected and Mommy is off to Google the news. Paws crossed you stay safe!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are all ok. This part of North Wales was cut off for a while and many people flooded out!
