Mum's First Cat

Mum couldn't have a cat as a child as her Mum

suffered with asthma.

After she left home and got married she was determined

to get one of the kittens from a local farmer's cat.

The farmer promised Mum it was a lady cat and

the kitten was duly called Prudence after a children's

television programme in the UK called Prudence Kitten.

Prudence got a cold and was taken to a local vet

who informed her the she was actually a mancat

so "her" name was changed to William!

  1. Hi there William, you sure are very handsome. I have had veterinarians not know which sex some kittens are. Anyway, he looks like a great cat. Hope all of you have a great day.

  4. Well, he was a handsome fellow, never mind the gender mistake. That happens fairly often, we suspect. :-)

  8. Hannah and Lucy, can you ask your mum if she still has the spring-like floral header that Ann had done for you, I think last year? I remember you had it up for a short time (it seemed like a short time) and it was my favourite of all of Ann's headers, I think. I'm trying to get ideas for a new header for the boys, can't be too flowery and feminine, of course, but wanted to refresh my memory as to what she had done for you.

  11. My human's grandmother had a cat - actually, a gray and white cat not unlike your William - that she named Minnie. Then, when she took Minnie to the vet to be spayed, the vet informed her that Minnie was a boycat and needed a different type of operation! Sadly for Minnie, his name never got changed, which I am sure gave him a complex.
