Mum couldn't have a cat as a child as her Mum
suffered with asthma.
After she left home and got married she was determined
to get one of the kittens from a local farmer's cat.
The farmer promised Mum it was a lady cat and
the kitten was duly called Prudence after a children's
television programme in the UK called Prudence Kitten.
Prudence got a cold and was taken to a local vet
who informed her the she was actually a mancat
so "her" name was changed to William!
.
Hello William ...
ReplyDeleteHi there William, you sure are very handsome. I have had veterinarians not know which sex some kittens are. Anyway, he looks like a great cat. Hope all of you have a great day.
ReplyDeleteWilliam was a handsome guy. Thanks for sharing him with us today!
ReplyDeleteMOL ! Did the vet look... how can we say... on the wrong side to miss you were an handsome mancat William ? Purrs
ReplyDeleteWell, he was a handsome fellow, never mind the gender mistake. That happens fairly often, we suspect. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat reminds us of our little Sei-Chan who was also thought to be a boy when she was very young! William was a very handsome mancat.
ReplyDeletePurrs,
The Chans
Such a handsome mancat!
ReplyDeleteYes, HE was a handsome dude indeed!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that story! And William is such a purrfect mancat name! xxo
ReplyDeleteHannah and Lucy, can you ask your mum if she still has the spring-like floral header that Ann had done for you, I think last year? I remember you had it up for a short time (it seemed like a short time) and it was my favourite of all of Ann's headers, I think. I'm trying to get ideas for a new header for the boys, can't be too flowery and feminine, of course, but wanted to refresh my memory as to what she had done for you.

Kind of a good thing you got that cold now, huh, William? :-) Hugs to a very handsome mancat!
ReplyDeleteHi Hannah - Hi Lucy!
My human's grandmother had a cat - actually, a gray and white cat not unlike your William - that she named Minnie. Then, when she took Minnie to the vet to be spayed, the vet informed her that Minnie was a boycat and needed a different type of operation! Sadly for Minnie, his name never got changed, which I am sure gave him a complex.
