Watch the Birdies

Lucy got very excited earlier this year when a nest was built in this tree.

There has been some baby birdies born in that nest and their parents have been fetching them food. They have now started to fly and keep landing on our conservatory roof before flying back to the tree. Hannah is getting very interested in their activities as you can see.

As we have a clear roof she can see them and they are taunting her by walking above her head.

In her excitement the elegant black cat sitting on the window sill has been knocked to the floor and if you biggify this next picture:

you can see her ear is chipped.
When I showed Hannah the damage I am sure she put her tongue out at me and said tough!!

  1. Hannah, how beautiful you are! And what torment, to be able to see the birdies above you like that!

As for Black Cat's chipped ear--your mum's not insinuating that you might have had something to do with that, is she? Because without clear visual proof, you are innocent, Hannah!

  5. Oh dear, poor elegant black cat but at least it was only a chipped ear. But Hannah, we know you didn't knock that cat off. It should have moved out of your way. Have fun watching the birdie channel.

  6. Uh oh! The black cat now looks like it has a little white spot on his ear... Kenji once knocked over a pretty little vase and it smashed to smithereens...
It must be so much fun watching the birdies from the clear roof!

  8. Oh lovely Hannah!!! Me and Charlie just know you were nowhere near your elegant black friend when she tripped and fell and lost the tip of her ear! We think your slinky friend got as excited as you and tried to make friends with the birdies!
    :-)

Me and Charlie are also saying hello to gorgeous Lucy (who was also nowhere near your sleek friend when she jumped and lost a bit of her ear)!

    Take care

  9. You are lucky! The baby birds all hatched while we were locked up, and now they have flown away.

  10. I am sure the bird watching was an equivalent of F1 on HDTV?
    :)
Clear roof must be fun!! Lucy & Hannah are very lucky kitties to have such exclusive access!

  11. What exquisite torture! Hannah, do you chitter at the birdies? We sure would!

As for Elegant Black Cat...nothing a black marker can't color in! And we know you are TOTALLY innocent!

  12. A clear roof is too cool but it must drive you beautiful girls crazy to get that overhead view of the birdies!...We don't think Hannah chipped the kitty ear, we think she must have been framed=without positive evidence, don't admit to anything sweet girl!!...Happy weekend watching Bird TV...xo...Calle, Halle, Sukki
