My Red Sock

The vet put that sock on for me

He really has no sense of style

so I'm not going to smile for him.

and to make matters worse

he says I've even got to eat in my carrier

so I'm on hunger strike as I'm not eating this

I want CHICKEN!!!

Thank goodness for Zoey at Zoolatry

as she's sent me some stylish stripy socks.

  1. Hannah, what a bummer that you got saddled with such an ugly accessory - and have to eat in a PTU! :-(

  4. Hannah, we kind of like that red sock. And those socks that Zoey sent you are really sharp. Wonder why you have to eat in your carrier?? Anyway, we sure hope that leg heals up really fast. Have a good day.

    1. Hannah has to eat in her carrier as the vet doesn't want her to move more than necessary. She has another appointment with him tomorrow when he will check her over and then she has (hopefully) the third appointment after a further 3 days.

  7. Oh Hannah! We're sorry you gotta wear a sock. Ernie says it's probably like wearing that stoopid cone. No fun! We hope your leg is better soon and you don't hafta wear the sock for long.

  8. Hannah, we, too, are sorry you have to wear that sock (though red IS your colour), and hope that it means you won't require surgery. We also hope you get fed something extra-tasty to make up for having to be so confined. Healing purrs from us.

  15. We really like your candy cane socks. At least your vet put a red sock on for you with Christmas coming. We don't know why you have to eat in your PTU, but we do think you should get special noms. We are purring and praying, Hannah, that you make a speedy recovery! 1. The vet put the sock on my foot to stop me from walking about as Mum damaged 2 ligaments when she stepped back onto my paw. I have to spend all my time in my transport carrier apart from when I need to go to the bathroom.

  18. Sweet Hannah we are sorry for why you have to wear that red sock and eat in your PTU but we think you look all ready for Christmas with your red sock and that cute striped one that Zoey sent you. We sure hope you will eat soon so you can stay strong and heal. Hugs and nose kisses

  22. The red sock compliments your furs nicely Hannah! And red stockings are so IN this Christmas! Of course the striped socks are that much more stylish! We hope your leg heals well and that you don't have to stay in "jail" for too long, sweetie. Lots of love from all of us.

  23. Hannah, The very least you could've gotten was pink with bling!!! We hope you leg doesn't hurt too badly and that the Dreaded Sock comes off soon. You poor wee thing!

  24. What a poor lass. We really hope that the vet person has more skill at making you better than they have in sockie style. How lovely and kind of Zoey.

  28. Awww, Hannah. We are purring for you. Your Zoolatry striped sock looks really cute! And hey, Mumsy has always liked red with black, and your white just makes it all the more stylish. We hope you feel better and better soon. Just take care and no worries. Hugs to you, Lucy and your Mom.

  29. We think your red sock isn't so bad-looking, but eating in the PTU does not sound like fun, Hannah. Lots of hugs and purrs and prayers coming your way, sweet friend.

  31. Poor Hannah, you are right that sock is a borderline fashion crime. The Zoolatry one is much nicer and suits you well. Vets aren't known for fashion sense.

I'm sure your Mum will have been busy cooking you chicken so you can eat something in your carrier and your leg will mend faster.

Still sending lots of love and purrs to you

  38. Poor thing, your carrier is not very big to eat in it as well, can't your mum find an old baby park and close it on the top, if you have to stay in there for a long time ? I actually like the red sock suits already for Christmas !
