  2. That's a lovely photo, Lucy. We had a beautiful sunrise this morning but it's now all covered over in clouds and there is the smell of rain in the air.

  3. Mr Sun has been kind of elusive here too. Glad you got to enjoy him while he was around.

  5. Lucy, your shadow is looking mighty good. Glad that sun finally made it to your house. Now if you could just send it back, we are having snow here.
Hope you all have a fantastic day.

  6. Too bad your shadow couldn't stay longer, Lucy. Let's hope Mr. Rain doesn't stay long either.

  7. Aw you look warm and cozy in the sun! Sorry Mr. Rain is on your way. We are having rain and sleet, and maybe snow later. Brrr.

  8. We hope you're not in one of the areas that has been flooded out. Our news coverage was showing footage last night and it looks awful in parts of your country. :-(

    1. We haven't been flooded like the properties on your news - we luckily live over 700 meters above sea level and nowhere near the coast or a river. Everywhere here is sodden but we are so lucky compared to so many. People just had minutes to get out and had to leave everything behind and run - many properties will need knocking down. It will be years before the
land will be fit for purpose. The farmers have lost lots of their livestock and so many will have nothing left at all. The sea has advanced onto land and the salt water will cause havoc for crop farmers for a long time.

  9. Lucy, we'd invite you over here but it looks as though the rain has finally found us! We have you and your fellow countrymen in our thoughts these days as we know Mother Nature is reeking havoc in your part of the world !

  12. (((Waving))) Hi pretty girls, we can send you some snow, 'cause we have more than we need! We live 500 feet above sea level in Pa. and we usually have some kind of breeze. Someone ordered more snow....we think it was Punxsutawny Phil to prove his 6 more weeks of winter prediction! (((Raspberries Phil!))) =^Y^=Thomas & theBoyz

  16. We had sun here also this morning for a while. I went outdoors and Mr Hail started throwing stones at me, so I ran back indoors.

  17. We're glad that you are high and dry and that you got some sun! The photos of the flooding we saw in the UK looked really terrible, and we're glad you haven't had to contend with that!

  18. How lovely to have some sun! We just had a warning issued for mega snows and ice, with wide spread power outages possible. We sure hope that doesn't happen! We'll be thinking of you as the nasty white stuff falls,
