We made a new friend yesterday
She fluttered inside to see us.
After a few minutes Mum took her back outside
(as Hannah was getting excited thinking it was a snack!)

where she rested a while before flying off.

That butterfly is lucky - if she had landed here, she would have been lunch!
ReplyDeleteMy cats too always think that a butterfly is something to eat !
ReplyDeleteThat is a very lucky butterfly. We bet it would have made a crunchy snack, right Hannah?
ReplyDeleteThat's a fortunate butterfly. We hope Hannah isn't too disappointed not to have made the butterfly's acquaintance.
ReplyDeleteOh Wow, that is such a pretty visitor. Good for Mum to take it outside and let it get on with its life.
ReplyDeleteHope all of you have a great day.
What a pretty flutterby! It's lucky your mom got to it before you did.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad your mom saw her before you two snacked on her..not that I blame you. xoxox
ReplyDeleteWhat?! Your mum took her back OUTSIDE???
ReplyDeleteOMC, we're aghast you didn't get her as a snack!
So pretty! We wonder what kind she is? And we wonder if she tastes as good as she looks?
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! We have never seen a butterfly. They just don't hang around our house for some reason.
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty friend you have girls!!!!
ReplyDeleteDo you think it is a moth or a butterfly? Very pretty either way, and good you released it!
ReplyDeleteWe are sure it is a butterfly as it is only about in the sunshine.
DeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Drats, your Mummy could have left the butterfly for a bit longer. They are beautiful but silly creatures, always getting in but can't find their way back out! It's a Peacock butterfly. :)
ReplyDeleteHow pretty! We bet you loved watching it flutter by! Purrs....
