Today is Livestrong Day
and we dedicate this post in memory of
anyone who has been affected by someone
who has or has had this evil disease, whether it
be a family member, a friend or a neighbour.
As you all know Zoolatry's Ann and family have been
devastated in the last few weeks with Vic's sudden decline
and passing due to this evil disease.
This year we wish to dedicate this post to them for their bravery
and to everyone else so badly affected by cancer.
Also in memory of our Mum's Mum
who died aged 62 years
from diagnosis to her death took 10 months.
and sweet Maxie (who died with a stomach tumour)
Maxie decided he was going to let Mum take him
to his furever home.
There was never any doubt in his mind from first seeing her,
to climbing up the legs of her jeans and refusing to let her leave with out him

Very touching post. Purring hard for a cure. *bows head in respectful prayer* Cancer knows no biases. It affects young, old, rich, poor, black, white.

Purrs to your human today for the losses she suffered because of this disease. There will be a cure someday!
ReplyDeleteIt's a terrible disease and still no medication, but they discovered water on planet mars ! Who cares ? Last week a friend of mine 55 years old died from lung cancer. It's everywhere the same.
ReplyDeleteWe don't know anyone who hasn't been affected by cancer, either directly or indirectly. It's insidious. We purr and purray that one day, there will be individually-tailored treatments for all those who have cancer, no matter what form it takes.
ReplyDeleteAnd if we may, though this is off-topic, we'd like to add that we love your new header and background (new to us, anyway).
Have a livestrong!
ReplyDeleteWe are purring for everyone whose lives have been affected by cancer.
ReplyDeleteHugs to you all on this special day! We hope a cure will be found very soon xx
ReplyDeleteThinking of you all today - - so many of us have been affected by the big C!

We are also hoping and purring that this terrible disease will no longer exist.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your advice on Picasa, it seems there is a problem with it at the moment and they are trying to sort it out. We have been reducing our pics to 400 for some time now, and will go back through them to reduce more.
