Sun Puddle and Message

.
It is furry cold here with night frosts so I've taken advantage of the sun today
.

.
to get some warm rays
.

.
and enjoy this comfy seat
.

.
and maybe
.

.
I might manage a nap
.
Lucy would like to thank everyone for their lovely messages to her on her recent problems, we hope she will soon be back to her usual cheeky ways but unfortunately her (Mum thinks) human attacker has done a lot of mental damage.  We are going round very quietly and making sure we talk quietly to her on the level which usually means crawling on the floor and trying to coax her to eat one mouthful at a time.  We are very sad as she is such recluse now and spends most of her time hiding.  We just want our old Lucy back.
.
We have lived here over 30 years and all our cats have come and gone as they pleased - there is a row of houses at the back of us and they fence hop and go through those gardens and go into a lovely big grassy area where all the local cats congregate - this is where they went when Lucy was attacked  - we can only think some new people must have moved in with very nasty minds.  We don't live in a city or a town but a large village where you think there is safety.
.
Please pray for her.
.

  1. Lucy was attacked????? OMC, oh, Sue...Oh, we're so sorry. Poor Lucy! Is there anything to give her to ease her stress, at least short-term? The mom's not fond of a lot of meds, but maybe a short course of an anti-anxiety for her? Or something homeopathic?

Sweet, precious Lucy, we're purring and purraying hard for you.

    *Kitty kisses* and hugs.

  4. We are so sorry to hear about what happened to sweet Lucy. We are wondering if we missed something in the blog posts, though, as we would have reacted sooner.

Anyway, we hope that she will gradually recover her joie de vivre and be back to her old self. It takes time to get over such things.

  5. I almost wish you hadn't mentioned what had happened to Lucy because my human is furious now and she is going on about how much she hates humans, well, not all of them, but a lot of them! She gets like this for days at a time! It is a good thing a whole ocean separates her and the perpetrators, otherwise they might be in some sort of mortal danger. To her, the only thing worse than cruelty is cruelty to somekitty she knows! And I think it is galling too. I am purring lots for Lucy, because I know it is wiser to focus on the kitty who is victimized. I only wish whoever had attacked Lucy could be caught and something done so it could not ever happen to any kitty ever again.

  12. I have been in tears many many MANY times, speaking as Admiral's mom whenI have read things like this either here on the CB or on Twitter. It always makes me feel like Sparkles mom. I can't imagine anyone ever EVER hurting a pet in any way ever! Those so-called people are lower than low. Lucy darling baby girl...please let the love your mom and dad and sister have for you bring you through. I will pray for you. xoxoxoxox

  16. Oh, no! We didn't know Lucy was attacked. Was she injured? Poor Lucy. What a terrible thing to happen to her. We hope she will start eating on her own soon.

  17. Come on, Lucy -- you can rally! Don't let some mean person rob you of your spirit! We are purring for you to recover really soon.

My Domino was terribly frightened by something outdoors a couple of years ago, and it took her time to return to normal. For the longest while she didn't want to go out any more, but now she does -- though she doesn't go as far astray as she once did (which is a good thing).

So, I am hopeful that Lucy will be able to recover from her trauma. It will just take time and patience, and lots of love, of course.

    We love you, too,Lucy!

  18. What happened to her ? Is she hurt or shocked ? A shock can last quiet some time for Arthur it took nearly 6 week until he dared to go out again and before he only went out with me only for a short while.

  19. Ann from Zoolatry told us about Lucy. We all have our paws crossed for a quick recovery for her. Some people just don't respect life at all, be it animal or human. With your love, Lucy will be fine and back to her old self real soon.

  20. We are terribly sad (and MAD) that Lucy was hurt by a person....no by a monster. Like Sparkle's & Admiral's Mom what we could do to that....monster. We are purring for dear Lucy and we hope with some quiet indoor time she will feel more like herself.
    We love you Lucy.

  26. Sweet Lucy! We got so worried when we heard from Mrs. Ann at Zoolatry that you were not feeling well. But oh gosh, this is just terrible! That you were attacked by an evil, cruel, human monster just breaks my heart. I do hope they have to answer for what they did to you. You and Hannah are such precious friends. As Mumsy to the Kwee Cats, my heart goes out to your Mom too. Please know you are so loved, adored, and appreciated. Stay safe, dear ones. And just know, not all humans are monsters. But gosh, the ones that are sure are terrible and cause such pain. Trust home and where you are so loved, and we pray and purr you feel better soon.

(((hugs))) and kitty kisses with head bumps from the Kwee Cats and Mumsy.

  29. Purrs and purrayers fur you, sweet Lucy. It is wif a sad heart that we admit that many humans are mean-spirited. Prancer was horribly abused when he came to us (burned). He too, came out of it wif flying colors. Give Lucy time and quiet. She is loved.

  39. Oh my Cod! That is absolutely horrible and sick. Poor sweet, trusting Lucy. We hope she has no physical injuries. It makes us sick to think of what human animals can and would do. We're sure she knows she is where she is safe and loved. We certainly hope in time she recovers her sparkle, although she may never want to go out again. We had a kitty who enjoyed going out until he had a run in with a car. He was an indoor kitty from that day on. We are purring for our sweet, dear friend.
