This is Emma the cat who lived here before us. It is a year today since she was helped to Rainbow Bridge.
.
.
She had been an intrepid hunter and brough back birds, mice, rats and moles on a regular basis. She once brought home a canary from where mum never asked!!
She was chosen by mum's late husband and adored him and watched many an hour of television perched on his lap. When he died she was never quite the same and mum thinks she was pining for him.
She was a fit and healthy lady cat until the last few months of her life when she had kidney problems and several strokes which affected her sight and made her almost blind. (if you bigify the photos you can see her eyes are different)
.
Mum made a hard decision and a final journey to the vet was made and she died being cuddled by mum. She was cremated and Mum buried her ashes in her beloved lap daddies ashes plot.

What a lovely girl Emma was. That's such a special thing to have done--buried her ashes with her lap daddy.
ReplyDeleteLots of (((hugs))) and Light to your mum today; we understand how hard it is.
Peace.

ReplyDeleteWe're sending purrs for your Mum a day late. We know how sad our mom can get when she thinks about our brothers at the Bridge. We either didn't realize or forgot that your mum lost Emma so recent. Emma looks much like Zachary at the Bridge. He was a very special boy. Head bumps to you all.
ReplyDeleteYour friends, Fuzzy and Zoe
Such a beautiful post about Emma. She was SO beautiful ... our siblings at the Bridge are always in our minds, aren't they? We are sure Emma and our brofur Max at the Bridge are furriends!
ReplyDeleteHugs, purrs and headbutts,

Aw, Emma was undoubtedly grieving for her lap daddy. She evidently had a good life but it is so hard to say good-bye. A nice memorial post for Emma.
