The Versatile Blogger

.

.
Thanks to Cat's Cats and the Creek Cats for both giving me this award. According to the rules I have to tell you seven things about myself - so here goes:-
.
1. I won't eat fish and hate the smell of it - fortunately Hannah and Lucy don't care for it either.
.
2. I am a widow - my husband died last year followed by his beloved cat Emme who was 19.
.
3. When I was a child we couldn't have a cat as a pet as my mother was allergic to their fur and
gave her asthma.
.
4. I hated my school uniform and still will not wear navy blue!!
.
5. I worked as a funeral director for over 25 years.
.
6. I saw the Beatles perform live in concert twice when I was in my teens - it was brilliant and
worth every minute queueing through the night waiting for the ticket office to open.
.
7. I love Agatha Christie's detective books particularly those with Hercules Poirot as the sleuth
and have read them all many times!
.
The rules say I have to pass this award on to 3 more bloggers so I would like to pass this award to .....drumroll!!
.
Ten Lives and Second Chances
Brian's home
Manx Mnews
...
and look forward to learning more about them. Please take the Versatile Blogger award and put on your blog.

  1. Please don't think the layout of this is odd - I type it and press post and it keeps chopping the answers up - have been back 3 times and amended it but the same thing happens every time!!

  2. It's lovely to get to know the human mums (and the occasional dad) a bit better!

I'm sorry you lost your husband...I've been through divorce, so understand loss, but the few humans I love are still living. (((Hugs)))

I used to read a lot of Agatha Christie, particularly enjoyed Poirot and Tommy and Tuppence!

    Happy Saturday. :-)

  10. Concats on the awardie and it's a nice way to get to know you better, too. Teri is a widow too, and lost Mike's 'kitty' 2 years after his passing, and feels fortunate to have had him around that extra time, as he was real sick too. Teri doesn't like fish much either, but for scallops and lobster. She also wore a uniform in school for 3 years and still won't wear plaid! And she saw the Rolling Stones when she was maybe 14 and still remembers what she wore that day, hahameow!

  12. Wow! Hannah and Lucy, your Mom has had an interesting life so far...we enjoyed learning about her very much!

MOL about Navy blue. Our Mommy says that school is meant to scar you somehow and your Mom got off pretty lightly!

Our sympathies for your losses of last year.

We're glad to be your friends.

  15. Wow! The Beatles....How cool is that! You have had a very interesting life so far! A funeral director for 25 years? And, I would have died if I had to wear a school uniform. It's bad enough that we had to wear one for gym!

  16. Thanks for sharing all those interesting things about yourself! I'm terribly sorry that you lost your husband and Emme last year.

I laughed that you still dislike navy blue all these years later. Seeing the Beatles must have been very exciting, I've always had a soft spot for Paul McCartney because I think he looks like my brother :-)
