This is the tree where Mr. & Mrs Blackbird have their nest. It is not in our garden so I can't show you the bottom of it. Mum thinks it is a type of conifer and as you can see it is very big and thick.
Mum says I will need climbing gear and ropes to get to the nest when I am baby bird sitting while Mr. & Mrs. Blackbird go out for a break. I think I may need a few tree climbing lessons before I set off - has any cat got any tips for me?
You are very brave to tackle such a big tree! We think a harness would be a great idea!
ReplyDeleteHi
ReplyDeleteI think you'll need a whole bevy of firemen and women to help you up and down Lucy!
That is one big tree isn't it?!?!
:-)
Take care
x
That's a pretty big tree, Lucy!
ReplyDeleteI'm not convinced Mr. and Mrs. Blackbird are going to go for your baby bird sitting, though. ;-)
That's a pretty big tree. Be careful, Lucy!
ReplyDeleteLucy, maybe you should take a long nap and think about it; that's a pretty big tree to climb and the Blackbird family might not want your birdsitting services!!...Happy Monday...xo...Calle, Halle, Sukki
ReplyDeleteLucy in trees, Hannah in bowls... what is this world coming to?
ReplyDeleteI think you need to be careful so the wind doesn't blow you away!

A safety harness would probably be a good idea while you are practising your tree climbing. Conifers are very thick but they have lots of branches to climb on.
ReplyDeleteOh Lucy! That's a very big tree! Maybe you should stick with birdies closer to the ground...
ReplyDeleteWow that is one large tree.. Be careful.. Hugs GJ x
ReplyDeleteLucy, that's a Leylandii confifer, they grow to about 9000 feet tall, so you might need an oxygen mask when you climb it. Stick to the lower branches for now. Hope the baby blackbirds are tasty, oops, erm, I mean "ok"
