.
Please do your biggest and best purrs for Hannah
.
.
she went to the vets yesterday to have her teeth cleaned
.
She is still there as they had to remove many, many teeth as they were loose
and they had to keep her over night to watch her.
.
I can't contact them until later this morning.
.
Please purr for Lucy too as she can't understand why Hannah isn't here
.
.
and she is very sad and keeps looking for her.
.

ReplyDeleteOh, poor Hannah! Nicki and Derry sure can relate to losing many teeth. :-(
ReplyDeleteWe're purring for recovery and certainly hope she'll be home today, with some pain meds.
The "plus" is that kitties mouths healing quickly and once her mouth isn't sore, she'll feel ever so much better.
BTW, Derry has only one back molar left for chewing (upper jaw) and he still managed kibble, if you're concerned about that. Of course they get very little kibble...And some kibble is either too big or too small for him, so you if you feed any dry you MIGHT have to change the kibble they get.
Alternatively, you could grind it up and sprinkle it on some canned--which is what I do to get Derry to eat more canned. LOL.
Anyway, again, mega-loud purrs from the boys and healing vibes from this human.
(((Sue)))
She'll be okay!
we are sending lots of purrs for you both! we know it may be scary, but we bet Hannah feels much better when she gets home....
ReplyDeleteSending humungous quantities of purrs for both Hannah and Lucy. Lucy, you look all forlorn. Dear hannah, that was not nice to go just for a cleaning and end up with so much more extensive dental work. Hope you feel lots better soon.
ReplyDeleteBig purrs and warm thoughts for both your little girls! I hope by this time tomorrow everyone will be back together and happy. It IS strange when a kitty is off for the night.
ReplyDelete{{hugs}} Trish
Purrs and hugs for ALL of you! It is nerve wracking when they have to stay overnight but it also means she is being monitored by "experts" which is a good thing.Tulip had to have four teeth pulled out last summer and she was groggy on the pain meds when she arrived home but after the ordeal she was so much happier and no doubt painfree!
ReplyDeleteYou are all in our thoughts today and we send you Sue, lots of hugs.

Oh my...Hannah dear! Sammy, our black and white retired daddycat had to have all but 2 molars way in the back extracted about 2 years ago (Teri was kinda embarrassed that she let his dental care go...) they even had to take out all four canines (fangs) so they had to do half the extractions and then 6 weeks later, do the rest of them as his jaw could have fractured if they had taken all 4 canines at once. But he did great and put on about a pound in the next year (and another pound after he was neutered, hahameow) and he eats dry kibble just fine, as a cat really doesn't chew or gnaw it's food like a dog does. We hope she comes home with some good pain meds (buprenorphine) for a few days, and that her recovery is smooth and fast...Purrs!
ReplyDeletePs: Hannah will smell like a hospital when she comes home and Lucy might hiss or swat at her, so don't be surprised if at first she acts like Hannah is a stranger. Sometimes it helps to take something that smells like Lucy or the humans (a blankie or a tshirt) and rub it all over Hannah before you introduce them again.
ReplyDeleteWe're purring for Hannah and for Lucy too. We hope Hannah is back home quickly and has a quick recovery.
