.
This post is for everyone whose life has been affected by cancer.
.
Whether they are fighting it or hopefully have beaten it or in memory of those who have died from this evil disease.
.
.
This picture is of my beloved mum and best friend.
.
She fought hard but within 10 months she had lost the battle and died at home on
8th September 1984 aged 62 years
.
.
I miss her every day
.
This second part is in memory of Maxie
.
.
He chose me at the Cats Protection League shelter on 22nd November 1991 by clambering up the legs of my jeans amd refusing to go down again. He was a replacement for William who had just died.
.
.
He was a real character and very protective of me - even chasing dogs away if they got too close!
.
In November 2005 he started to be unwell and the vet took x-rays which showed he had stomach cancer in its late stages.
.
We knew we didn't have long with him and he died in my arms on 20th November 2005.
.
The strangest thing is he died on the exact same date as William 14 years before
.
This is also a day to remember those who have had cancer and have beaten it too
.
THE SURVIVORS
.
you are proof that this evil disease can be overcome
