Heavenly Heather

We were in the front garden last week
. .
and found the heathers in full bloom
.
Hannah stood for ages just gazing at them
. .
but of course I had to jump into the middle of them
.
.

    Oh the heather is beautiful! I plant some in the garden every summer but the winters are so harsh in canada that it never comes back the next year.

    Oh, oh, OH!!!!!!!!!!! Our mama is taking a trip down memory lane.....she's remembering Spring in Ireland and the heather and the gorse blooming!!! And the rhoddies and the azaleas, and.....and....and.......

    County Wicklow was the most beautiful place the year round, but in Spring it was magnificent.

    Well Lucy, there might have been an introoder in the middle of those pretty flowers. Our Mom has always wanted heather like that but just has never gotten around to planting any of it. It is so pretty. Take care.
