This is a new scratcher Mum bought for me because I decided the carpet was better to sharpen my claws on than our scratch pole.
.
Look it has a pom pom on a spring which is great fun to whap.
.
I have to confess that I still prefer the carpet for my claws.
(Mum keeps sighing and I ignore her as is my right!)
.
You want to hear something funny? The rug in our living room has these worn out spots in the middle of it. Do you know who made them? MY HUMAN! From doing all her exercise DVDs. Yes, sometimes we scratch on it too, but we haven't done anywhere near as much damage.
ReplyDeleteYou should give the wave scratcher a chance, lovely Lucy!...Maybe your Mom could rub a little nip on it to interest you more?...Happy Sunday beautiful friends...xoxo...Calle, Halle, Sukki
ReplyDeleteAwww lovely Lucy!! Me and Charlie love your new scratcher but Charlie agrees that the carpet and the sides of beds are the best way to sharpen one's claws! I sigh along with your mum!
ReplyDeleteWe are waving a big hello to gorgeous Hannah too!
Take care

That wave scratcher looks really great. But we do a number on our carpet too and there is nothing left of the chairs in here. They are a huge mess. But as you know, cats rule.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Sunday.
We've got one of those scratchers too...and we still prefer the carpet!! Haha!!
ReplyDeleteWell it sure looks like fun...yup, we like the carpet too!
ReplyDeleteMaybe a bit of catnip on that scratcher would make it more appealing?

Hello Lucy!!!
ReplyDeleteGive that "thing" a try!
It will be fun!
Miss you gals like mad when mom's away!
Love, Lucky
heh heh.
ReplyDeleteWe like carpet too! We have modular carpet squares so if we tear one up, Mommy can replace it. Soooo, we don't specialize and we scratch EVERYWHERE!
Mommy: *sigh*
Try it..you'll like it!
ReplyDeleteWell, you can always save your new scratcher to use during football games, when you can do the wave!
ReplyDeleteMOmma has tried all kinds of things to keep us from using the dining room rug as a scratching post but to no avail!
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday

Yes, that's what I was wondering -- if you really do use it for scratching, Lucy! We bought a special scratcher for Dylan, but he still prefers the carpet -- or even worse the upholstered chairs in our family room. He pretty well ignores the scratcher.
ReplyDeletePlease mind your mommy, Lucy! It's easier for everyone that way.
I love to aggravate my mom when she buys something specially for me and I ignore it!
ReplyDeleteI prefer the carpet too but Eric always uses the scratching post.

We have 2 rugs, 3 doormats and 2 bath rugs for cat claws - and Target STILL sticks a claw into the sofa when he's relaxing there!!!!
